Chattisgarh Godhan Yojana was initiated to benefit farmers and cattle rearers , to get some benefit out of cow dung they provide through their animals. Under the scheme government will purchase cow dung from these farmers and cattle owners and will make some payment to them from the government treasury . The usage of these cow dung will be used to make vermi compost . The fund provision is made by Chattisgarh government where different cow dung and buffalo dung will be separately taken .

Godhan Nyay Yojana Application in Chattishgarh

The scheme was first initiated on July , 2021 where the authorities of Government involved in the scheme will buy cow dung from the farmers and cattle owners . The cattle owners should register under the scheme to sell their cattle dung to the government . In the first phase, government will focus on more than 2000 gaushalas for such procurement and then later private cattle owners will be contacted for procurement in second phase.

Under the Godhan Yojana , cow dung purchase will be undertaken in small portions and later heavy loads will be taken . The portioned amount for the purchase will be Rs 2 per KG of cow dung . This will entitle every farmer or cattle owner to sell their dung daily 1000 kilogram , then for per Rs 2 kg daily payment to the cattle owner and the gaushala will be paid Rs 2000 for 1000 KG of dung .

Since announcement , the scheme allocation and payment has been made for around Rs 8 crore 63 lakhs till 2023 to the bank account of beneficiaries. The scheme will also include buying order of cow fresh urine at the price of Rs  4 per litre which will be used for multiple purposes including rural farming needs.
